Austin Raymond is a Property & Casualty Actuarial Analyst at Deloitte Consulting. He is a 2024 graduate of the Honors College at Towson University, where he majored in Mathematics with a concentration in Actuarial Science & Risk Management, and minored in Computer Science.
With a keen interest in property casualty insurance, Austin has previously held P&C actuarial internships with Travelers Insurance, Arch Insurance, Verisk Analytics, and Deloitte Consulting. To recognize his academic achievement and industry involvement, Austin has received scholarship awards from numerous organizations including the Spencer Educational Foundation, International Association of Black Actuaries, Wholesale & Specialty Insurance Association, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, American Academy of Actuaries, The Actuarial Foundation, and many others.
At Towson, Austin served as the Public Relations Officer for both the Actuarial Science & Risk Management Club and the Data Analytics & Visualization Club. Austin strives to live up to the Jesuit motto of being “A Man for Others” through his passion project called the Banneker Theorem, where he aims to spread awareness to the history and legacy of blacks in the mathematical sciences and inspire young people to pursue mathematical and actuarial careers.

Austin is also passionate about sports analytics, with experience in conducting quantitative research in basketball and a growing interest in leveraging analytics to inform decision-making across sports organizations.

He is committed to passing all ten of the professional exams administered by the Casualty Actuarial Society to achieve his FCAS designation.
